Dylan Connor

In June of 2015, an stranger pulled up to Dylan's house in Connecticut and left a large package on the front porch. When he got home later that day, Connor opened the heavy box to find a custom Martin acoustic guitar, and a note that said 'happy strumming." This mysterious gift provided the fuel that Dylan needed to put the finishing touches on a trove of unfinished songs. Connor had been composing fragments of material in places as mundane as his living room, and as exotic as Turkey, Cyprus, and Germany. In February 2016 , Connor headed into the studio with Bryce Goggin at the helm (Pavement, Nada Surf, Ramones). They resurfaced in August of that year with a 10 song LP titled Spirit Glue. Currently, his song Man of Peace is featured in the documentary Little Gandhi, an Oscar contender about one of the Syrian Revolution's greatest peace activists Ghiath Matar. “He’s got an easy way with a pop hook and can be a ferociously incisive wordsmith: a lot of these songs scream out for the replay button.” - New York Daily Music

NuDay Syria
NuDay Syria was the natural extension of local efforts here in the New England area, to help alleviate the humanitarian suffering taking place in Syria since March 2011. We are especially concerned with the plight and vulnerability of displaced Syrian women and girls, whose needs are often overlooked and voices not heard. NuDay Syria advocates for girls and women who now find themselves with no male breadwinners and often have little skills and experience earning and providing for their families.

Our board, community supporters and invaluable volunteers at NuDay Syria reflects our diversity in our work and efforts for Syria and represent many layers of life and professional experience including fellow mothers with young children, a survivor of a refugee childhood, medical and humanitarian experts as well as business and engineering representatives. We have a special interest in social business and empowering women and folks to be self-reliant. NuDay Syria knows that together we can make a difference.
